Human Rights Education: The 4th R, Human Rights Education
and the Arts, vol. 7 No. 1, Winter 1996.

Editor’s Note

Since we decided to devote this issue of The Fourth R to the arts and human rights education, we have learned of numerous exciting projects happening in classrooms and communities around the world. Some of them are described in the pages that follow. We encourage you to develop projects of your own and to let us know about them, so that we can continue to expand our collection of resources to share among our network of human rights educators. If you are not already a member of the AIUSA Human Rights Educators’ Network or the North American Partners for Human Rights Education, please join soon so you can continue to receive this publication and other membership benefits. The two most recent issues of The Fourth R are now available on the World Wide Web! This issue will be posted soon, along with other resources for educators. Visit the University of Minnesota Human Rights Library for these educational materials (see page 14) and over 90 of the most important international human rights instruments, treaties, and adjudicative decisions.
